How are the Programmes Category Awards judged?

The key criteria considered by the judges are:

  • Volunteer Input – volunteering involvement, commitment and passion.
  • Volunteer Programme Design – best practice, service or project sustainability and volunteer support and celebration.
  • Initiative and Creativity – innovation and the capacity to overcome difficulties or face challenges.
  • Effectiveness of the Volunteer Action – success of the service or project and achievement of mission or vision.
  • Impact – benefit of service or project on targeted audience or community.
How are the Volunteers Category Awards judged?

The awards recognise individuals or volunteer groups and their commitment to their volunteering and community. The nominees will have shown how their volunteering has made a direct impact on their audience, community that they volunteer for, and on themselves.

The key criteria considered by the judges are:

  • Impact – the benefit of the volunteer service from the individual or group to the audience or community.
  • Passion – the volunteer/s conviction, advocacy and support for the work that they do.
  • Commitment – the level of support that the volunteer/s have had towards the success of the group or project.

The decisions of the judges will be final. Representatives of the entered volunteer programmes/organisations or individual/s will be invited to attend the Awards Ceremony, which will be held on Saturday 24 September.
